After months of horrific press surrounding Rio and this summer’s Olympic Games, from Zika to dismembered bodies washing ashore the sewage ridden beaches, NBC has decided to remind us of the one worthwhile commodity from the desolate nation of Brazil: supermodels.
Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima, better known to most of us as the women that made our girlfriend’s “can we please watch the VS fashion show” request tolerable, are now hopping out of our sexual fantasies and onto the silver screen.
From Yahoo Sports:
NBC announced that Brazilian supermodels Alessandra Ambrosio and Adriana Lima will be joining the network’s late night coverage of the Rio Olympic Games. The pair will be sharing the stage with host Ryan Seacrest, providing a nightcap to the day’s coverage of the Games.
However, don’t expect them to just be pretty faces on the TV screen. The Brazil natives will be responsible for feature stories and commentary on their home country.
Lima, who belongs in the WAG Hall of Fame with her bizarre decision to marry former NBA 12th man Marko Jaric (he was wise and did NOT pull out, twice), will appear on NBC’s late night wrap up of the day’s events with the only man in Rio not interested in being inside of her: Ryan Seacrest.
NBC, though clearly in a desperate attempt to salvage an Olympics marred by the horrific condition of the host city and the withdrawal of many of the globe’s greatest stars, describe the two former VS Angels as the “perfect ambassadors to guide viewers through the celebrations taking place outside of the games.”
Am I the only one turned on by that? NBC hopes not..
