Matt VandeBerg had himself quite the day on Saturday — he hauled in seven receptions for 129 yards and one touchdown in Iowa’s blowout win over in-state rival Iowa State. His biggest catch of the day wasn’t one he made on the field, however. It was the one he made after the game when he asked his girlfriend, Laura Bulanda, to marry him. She said yes.
Of course she said yes. How are you going to turn down a guy who puts up stats like that? Add in the fact that they have been dating for a while and Matt should have known the answer before asking. Congrats to them. Laura isn’t just a football player’s girlfriend, either. She is a former Hawkeye cheerleader, so she’s kinda a big deal on campus. She also looks real good.
